Savanna Explorer Travel & Tours was founded with a simple vision: to share the unparalleled beauty of Botswana’s wilderness with travellers from around the world. Headquartered in Maun, we have grown from a small local operation into a respected mobile safari company known for authentic experiences and exceptional guiding .
Our team is made up of passionate conservationists, expert guides, and dedicated camp staff who share a deep love for the African bush. We believe that a safari should be more than just sightseeing—it should be an immersive journey that creates lasting memories and fosters a lifelong appreciation for wildlife and wild places.

Our Botswana mobile safaris

What is a Mobile Safari?
A mobile safari is the ultimate way to experience Botswana’s wilderness. Unlike staying in a fixed lodge, you travel through different regions with a camp that moves with you. Each day brings a new landscape, new wildlife encounters, and a new campfire story.
How it works: You travel in a customised 4×4 safari vehicle, while our support team transports the camp ahead to your next destination. When you arrive, your tent is set up, dinner is cooking, and you can relax and unwind
Best time to travel

Low Season (Dec–Mar): Quieter, greener landscapes, excellent birdwatching. A great time for those seeking solitude .
High Season (Apr–Oct): Dry season, wildlife concentrates around water sources. Peak game viewing, especially June–October.
Green Season (Nov–May): Lush scenery, migratory birds, fewer tourists.
